the fault in our society
the faults in our society maybe clear enough but try and learn something from this and try to think how you can help make our society easier for people to survive in.
suicidal and feelings
most people reading this will have an issue in there life at some time or age. so why do people find the need to say why do you do that or feel that way there is nothing bad in your life. well yeah it might seem like there is nothing bad in there life but i can bet there is something bad in there head. when people say "kill me now" or "I want to die right now" just because you have a teacher you don't like or your ex is stalking you remember someone who will hear that will actually genuinely want that for themselves.
sexuality
everyday now people randomly say "oh that is gay," or "ha your gay," well guess what yeah there is gay people in this world but i think gay is a horrible word to use for the people that fall into this category i would rather call them something nicer something more respectful, this is because everyone who is 'gay' or 'lesbian' is just another person. nothing is wrong with there genetics. they don't have a fault, you cant change them, there people who just happen not to follow the crowd for there types.
self harm and self hate
then there's people who laugh at self-harm. for a start no one unless they have it truly understand mental illness's. depression and anxiety and another form of mental illness is not for attention nor is it a stage in life people go through. its an illness and illness's mean sick, which means something not right! I am not saying that there not right in there head I'm saying its not natural nor is it normal for these feeling or things to occur to people meaning they need a doctor to help them get better and improve there life and have there minds the way it should be. The people with mental illnesses are not strange nor do they need you or anyone else to tell them they are different there people and there lives are so hard! there brains suffocating them and eating away at them making them scared or unhappy all the time! its not a pleasant thought. maybe instead of making them feel worse everyone should except that something has either happened or is happening to make them feel this way or even they just have some chemical ambivalence in there brain that could also course such feelings. maybe we should except that and help them instead, maybe 2 years down the line it will be you in there position wouldn't you want to know because you where nice and helped them through that they will do the same for you.
self-harm is a way for people to reassure themselves that they are still there. it sounds weird but depressed people soon enough get a feeling of numbness some people need reminding that they are there its more complicated than that but i cant really describe, it to well I'm not an expert just someone with an opinion. self-harm can also be to make there bodies feel the same way they do. depression is very much a feeling of being trapped inside your body. if anyone has ever seen or read 'the host' you may understand a little better. if you haven't i would recommend. they also want to express the self hate or let there feelings out or something like that its quiet a difficult one to explain only that they cant handle there pain any longer and they have to let it out and let it go and that's a way.
eating disorders
even if people don't have eating disorders most will hate there body. people don't need to be told there fat chances are they already think that. however they do need to be told there figure is lovely chances are they don't know that and chances are you will get a compliment back. have you noticed how when you compliment some one like 'oh i love your jacket' or 'i like what you've done with your hair' you'll get 'thanks' but if you say 'your figure is unreal' you'll get 'coming from you, i want yours' that is because a figure compliment means so much people think that they will seem rude not to give one back. people with eating disorders don't need being told that they are so stupid for the fact they don't eat. once again its a illness that they cant get rid of even if they try. not all people with an eating disorder are skinny like models some are fat and some are normally sized and a lot are really skinny. but anorexia is not where you are super skinny its where you starve yourself to be thin and not just that its when its took over your mind! so saying 'you couldn't be anorexic' is terrible because they may look big but they might not have eating for 3 days. they might cry at night looking at a skinny girl begging to be her!
panic attacks
people who suffer with panic attacks are not weird or strange there just scared it where there body gets feelings that they are not safe and is in danger and there body tells them something is wrong, its like the way you would feel if a burglar was in your house. not exactly sure if that's right i mean i have never had a burglar in my home but i imagine its a similar feeling. they just simply need to be given a moment leave them to have that moment with out talking and just say ONCE 'if you want ANYTHING ill go get you it, i wont leave and no ones coming in ill just stay here just let me know' sort of thing. chances are they wont talk for a while just leave them there body is just throwing adrenaline and fear excreta at them. dose that sound like there weird no! there body is just given off strange feelings.
all in all
so all in all the point of this is to tell you all these people are normal! they just have something going on or something that happened or fears or feelings that have sent them off course they don't need any greaf there clearly not strange at all they are just trying to survive with there illness that has took over there lives. they just need a kind comment or a kind friend to make them feel so so much better possibly (not guaranteed).
they dont need name calling becuase i bet they call themselves enough terrible names. dont question them like 'why would you do that', 'what did you do that for', 'what made you so scared', or anything else. just give them a hug. some people rather you ask about there illness rather than guess so say if you like 'is it okay if i ask you...' chances are they will appreciate the thought. i know it sounds bad but some of these people do just need the attention to make themselves seem worth something and cared about.
